Overview & WHAT YOU'LL DO

The Pre-Sales Engineer and Post-Sales Professional Services Consultant is a client-facing, hands-on technical role engaging in demonstrating, designing, developing and deploying OneTick and OneTick based applications for our customers. The day-to-day job involves both on-site and off-site interactions with prospects and customers. Project tasks include OneTick software demonstration and training, OneTick system installation, implementation and tuning, development of OneTick based software solutions, software development with OneTick API, integration of OneTick with other 3rd party systems (e.g., trading systems, data feeds, reporting, etc.), development of analytical models for various business cases (e.g., quantitative research, algorithmic trading, market monitoring and surveillance, etc.), market data and client data processing and more. OneTick technology training is provided as needed.

About You

Technology:

  • Programming languages: Python, C++, Java or C# (strong skills and experience coding in Python or C++ are a plus)
  • Solid SQL experience
  • Confident Linux user
  • Understanding of database modeling concepts and technology (experience working with time series technologies is a plus)
  • Market data technology: Familiarity with market data systems and real-time feeds (direct experience is a plus)
  • Trading technology: knowledge and experience working with trading and surveillance systems is a plus
  • Good understanding of cloud technology concepts (experience working with AWS, GCP and/or Azure is a plus)

Finance:

  • Financial data modeling: Good understanding of financial data structures is a plus (trades, order book data, trade execution reports, reference data, etc.)
  • Good understanding of various asset class characteristics (equities, options, futures, etc.) and corresponding reference data
  • Good understanding of trading algorithms, quantitative, pricing or risk models (working experience is a plus)

Other Skills, Education and Experience:

  • Strong English language communication skills, both verbal and writing
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Attention to detail, hard-working and goal-oriented attitude (to get the tasks done on time), experience working both in a team and independently, self-motivation, readiness to learn proprietary technologies (OneTick) and communicate with the Customers directly
  • Education:
    • BS degree in mathematics, engineering, computer science or related field
    • Advanced degree in engineering, computer science or finance related field is a plus
  • Experience:
    • Junior Hires: Advanced degree graduates with 1+ year financial technology experience
    • Professionals: 3+ years of Financial Technology experience

 

All positions to be filled in the UK, US, Canada or EEA countries, all full-time employee or full time contractor.  Depending on the country of residency, we may, at our discretion, employ you as a contractor directly attached to OneMarketData LLC, or by way of an ‘Employer of Record’ / ‘Agent of Record’ that has an office in the country.  We are willing to pay for co-working space when we believe it is appropriate.  All positions will require a background check, signed NDA, signed contract, signed GDPR processor pass-through agreement (since we act as a data processor under GDPR).  Salaries will be commensurate with experience, education, skill set, and local norms.
